Diana the Huntress

Diana is represented in the form of a Pueblo woman, moving among the white spirit deer. She is of the forest, the seasons, the cycle of birth, death, rebirth, the earth and the universe. Here she assumes the form of the Deer Mother of the sacred Deer Dance, leading the deer down from the forest as a sacrifice to help the people live and thus begin a new life cycle.
